Individual and Siblings
With nearly a decade of teaching in one hand and multi award-winning photography in the other, we would say that is a safe pair for your school or nursery. We pride ourselves on producing the best school portrait photography in Kent using professional lighting setups rather than the basic, fool-proof and highly unflattering 2-lights at 45° that is so commonly used by other companies.
Class and Groups
We offer various class photo styles to suit your school and we can even do 2 styles in one day giving parents more choice.
The traditional outside class photo is what many schools still opt for however, the more modern and fun studio style is becoming more popular. We capture this type of photo slightly differently to others allowing us to also create a whole school photo without any extra photos needing to be taken.
Performing Pictures
Introducing our very own augmented reality photo app - Performing Pictures.
Our app can quite literally bring photos to life by using just a regular smart phone or tablet.
We take a photo and a short video which we then combine and link via a QR code. Once this process is completed, a QR code is produced and the magic can be accessed via our app.
Just download the app, scan the QR code we supply and hover over the photo to watch it come to life.
And the best part is...it's completely FREE and is included in the order without adding anything extra to the basket, no matter what the size of the order is. So if you order a small 6x4" or a large pack of photos, if there's a Performing Pictures video attached, it'll be included.
Nursery and Pre-Schools
They say never work with small children and animals, and they do have a point, but we love it! As parents of under 5s ourselves, we know how to interact with your little ones. With a few cuddly toys, an impressive Hey Duggee impression ("wow!! Are you really Duggee?!?!) and patience that could test a saint, we will get your children smiling in no time.
With a choice of backgrounds from solid colours to a themed set including a Christmas wonderland, we can work with you so that your parents will have those photos that are the most precious for years to come.
Without doubt, the most popular choice for parents is our Christmas themed photos. With a visit in November or December and a home delivery option all the way up to Christmas Eve, this is great for last minute gifts. This is often paired with our plain background portrait session usually in May-July. We can even do a group photo with everyone looking!
Special Schools
It's sad but the reality is most companies don't want to go into your school because 'it's not financially worthwhile' or it's 'too much work'. We are different, because of who we are and our experience.
Chris has interacted with children as a teacher and photographer with a vast range of educational needs and this is what sets us aside. We actively promote ourselves to special schools and would love the opportunity to visit you - this is why we are fast becoming the best choice in Kent for your special school photographer.
We hear first hand from parents that our photos are often the very first time they have ever had a photo of their child looking directly down the lens. The thought that somewhere, on a coffee table in a living room, our photos are proudly on display makes this so very worth it - not being 'financially worthwhile' just doesn't come close.
We run these sessions slightly differently using constant LED lighting so not to over-stimulate and with just one photographer, Chris. Some pupils can be photographed as they would be in a mainstream school while others need time to be in the room and feel comfortable with the space and Chris. Nothing is too much and there is no pressure to stand in front of the camera.
